Google Chat for Jira, JSM and Confluence

Say the useful things in the space you already watch.

ChatHerald posts Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence updates into a Google Chat space. You create an incoming webhook, then keep the noise down with filters, including JQL.

Atlassian Marketplace listing: coming soon. Pricing and free trial are shown on the Atlassian Marketplace listing (coming soon).

What it posts

Jira

Issue activity

Created issues, status changes, other field changes, comments, and mentions. Each message carries the key fields and a link back to the issue.

Jira Service Management

Requests, as issues

A service request is a Jira issue, so the same rules cover it: created, status changes, field changes, comments, and mentions.

Coming soon: SLA-breach alerts. They are not in the current version.

Confluence

Page created or updated

Page notifications include the title and a link. They do not include the page body.

Routes

Filters, then a webhook

Limit by project, issue type, priority, label, event, and JQL. Send immediately, or as an hourly or daily digest in UTC.

How it is built

Built on Atlassian Forge.

ChatHerald is built on Atlassian Forge. Its code and storage are hosted by Atlassian, not on servers we run, and Atlassian handles data residency for that storage. The only outbound call is to the Google Chat incoming webhook an admin pastes in.

Messages default to text. A rich card can be turned on as well. Google’s incoming-webhook guide documents a text body, so confirm a card in a real space before you leave that option on.

Billing will be Paid via Atlassian. Pricing and free trial are shown on the Atlassian Marketplace listing (coming soon). Notified Limited does not take card payments for the app.
